SOFAWORKS

HOT AIR

DIRECTOR CHRIS COTTAM

Chief worked alongside TBWA/Manchester in rebranding long-established providers of bloody lovely sofas, CSL, as Sofaworks, bringing to life the champion of all things cushion and comfort - Neal. Neal is a sloth, by the way.

PAUL WELLER

BRAND NEW TOY

DIRECTOR JOE CONNOR

Joe Connor channelled his childhood when bringing to life Paul Weller's new track "Brand New Toy". Joe's usual sense of creativity and just a dash of madness are at play. He and the team at Chief decided to build a giant kaleidoscope, 30 feet long and tall enough to house Paul and his band.

COORS

LIGHT EXPEDITION

DIRECTOR DAMIEN O'DONNELL

Never ones to shy away from a challenge, we teamed up with our friends at Russel Curran Productions and turned our MediaCity studio, which is nothing like a snowy, mountain-based log cabin bar in to...you guessed it, a snowy, mountain based log cabin bar. It was a big task, but well worth it. Pint, anyone?

VICTORIA PLUMB

THE MORE I SEE YOU

DIRECTOR MARC INGHAM

We all know that feeling when you just can't but help sing in the shower. Well Marc Ingham and Victoria Plumb expanded this common trope bathroom-wide. The finished product has a delightful melody.

NEVILLE JOHNSON

ONE DAY

DIRECTOR MARC INGHAM

Bespoke furniture company Neville Johnson wanted something to connect their furniture with the life their customers build around them. Who better than Marc Ingham to bring his eye for detail to this sweeping commercial? Nobody. That's who.

THE COURTEENERS

HOW GOOD IT WAS

DIRECTOR JOE CONNOR

The Courteeners are back with the first single from their fourth studio album and the band have reunited with frequent collaborator, Chief director Joe Connor to create this psychedelic and experimental visual barrage for us all to devour.

MAGNET KITCHENS

COMPOSER

DIRECTOR CHRIS COTTAM

Kitchen makers extraordinaire, Magnet, wanted a commercial crafted from the ground up: funnily enough, just like their kitchens. They needed something which could highlight the form, function and beauty that is more than skin deep in their kitchens. Using a great combination of live action and VFX, director Chris Cottam more than delivers on that concept.
